Family Development Services

Family Development Services improves the lives of low-income children in Marion and Hamilton counties by providing quality early childhood education and family focused child development services through Head Start and Early Head Start. Last year alone, they provided educational programs and social services to more than 2,500 children, infants, and pregnant women. We recently designed their new brochure for the 2011–12 school year—stay tuned for the new website.

Community Matters

Community matters to The Children’s Museum. Recently, we helped them get the word out with their annual Community Report. The world’s biggest and best children’s museum injects millions into the region’s economy; improves the quality of life of its visitors and neighborhood; and is an invaluable resource for students, teachers, and educational institutions across the state. Indiana is fortunate to be home to this outstanding institution. (Plus, they’ve got DINOS!)

Welcome Chatham Home

Welcome to our new neighbors on the Cultural Trail. Chatham Home, a brand-spankin’ new furniture store at 517 E. Walnut Street, opens Friday, Aug. 5. Located in what was once the Ray & Schumaker machine shop building around the corner from Mass Ave., the store features a variety of decorative styles, offering furniture ranging from antique to contemporary. Faith and Hope, the mother and daughter proprietors, want their visitors to enjoy the store’s home-like vignettes, complete with home accessories and gifts, as well as upholstery, rugs and lighting. They hope that Chatham Home will be a destination, an inviting oasis of comfort and style. No passport required.

Visit them on Facebook.
