Dean Johnson has designed logos for every NCAAchampionship event, including the Men’s and Women’s Final Four, Frozen Four, and College World Series.
The NCAA asked that we develop a system similar to the Olympic pictograms to help identify each of the 23 sports played within the three NCAA divisions. The resulting Championship Logo System provides a uniform method of branding the 88 championships while enhancing the NCAA brand.
In 2006 the NCAA marked 100 years of the student-athlete with an enhanced logo, a special annual report, and the annual convention theme, for which we developed a “look” that was applied throughout the convention center, city streets, hotels, and airport.
