Moonlight Serenade is St. Francis Hospital’s fundraiser benefiting the development of the St. Francis Hospice House, an inpatient hospice care facility that combines superior end-of-life medical care with a comforting, life-affirming environment. Dean Johnson is moved by the noble nature of this organization’s mission and pleased to have played a role supporting the event. The event includes a book signing by Debbye Butler, entertainment from the IU Singing Hoosiers, and a silent auction. Dean Johnson and the Indiana Historical Society teamed up with Bloomington, Indiana author Douglas Wissing and photographer Dick Spahr to produce a travel guide to the more than thirty craft breweries around the state—Indiana: One Pint at a Time, A Traveler’s Guide to Indiana Breweries. Sample Indiana craft beers and swap stories with the author and other beer enthusiasts during the Spirit and Place Festival on Tuesday, November 9, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. christopher west presents Weaving Through Walls

Weaving Through Walls is a new installation by Indianapolis-based Susan Tennant. Tennant’s sculptures and installations use the physical properties and characteristics of tension to represent a metaphorical connection between the physical and the psychological. The fiberglass rods and twine are lightweight and seemingly fragile, but possess great compressive and tensile strength for defining and holding together the intertwined circles and orbits of her sculptures.

Opening doors for 100 years
The Metropolitan Indianapolis Board of REALTORS® (MIBOR) will celebrate its 100th year of service to central Indiana in 2012. The celebration of this anniversary includes honoring the past accomplishments of the organization and proud promotion of the future contributions MIBOR is planning to make through it’s Building a Living Legacy project.
In addition to a web site, email newsletter and other online marketing materials, Dean Johnson recently completed an animated video celebrating MIBOR’s contributions to the development of Indianapolis, both past and future.

Dean Johnson Gallery is very pleased to announce 3D, an exhibition of new three-dimensional work by Lesley Baker, Cory Robinson, Gustavo Tovar and Ben Valentine. Working in both fine art and furniture design, these four artists present both functional and purely visual work that interacts and engages the viewers space. Furniture, sculpture and installation art are included in the exhibition and are made from materials ranging from the traditional to conceptual. All the work is contemporary and represents some of the strongest work currently being made in central Indiana.
