Dean Johnson is moved by the noble nature of this organization’s mission and pleased to have played a role supporting the event. The event includes a book signing by Debbye Butler, entertainment from the IU Singing Hoosiers, and a silent auction. Weaving Through Walls is a new installation by Indianapolis-based Susan Tennant. Tennant’s sculptures and installations use the physical properties and characteristics of tension to represent a metaphorical connection between the physical and the psychological. The fiberglass rods and twine are lightweight and seemingly fragile, but possess great compressive and tensile strength for defining and holding together the intertwined circles and orbits of her sculptures.
