Indiana Gives Businesses Their Best Shot
The fine folks at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation are on the front lines of attracting new business to the state, meeting with site selection specialists around the country and around the world. One such effort recently took them to an NBA game where they hosted dozens of potential new Hoosiers. Dean Johnson helped provide marketing materials, invitations and this unique keepsake, all in the effort to support our state’s business attraction, retention and economic growth efforts.

Scratching the Surface
Opening Reception:
Friday, March 6, 2009 5–9pm
An international group of artists have come together for this exhibition through the artists website Wet Canvas! and their passion for creating scratchboard art. With experience in the medium ranging from several months to 30 years, their goal, on the website, is to encourage, help and learn from each other. When an exhibition was suggested to showcase their work, it became their mission to promote this little–recognized form of fine art.
Today, scratchboard art is commonly done on material called Claybord Black. Using a sharp instrument, scratches are made in varying size and depth, to remove the ink and reveal the clay beneath and eventually the image emerges.

St. Patrick’s Day Buttons
Yeats once wrote “Being Irish, he had an abiding sense of tragedy, which sustained him through temporary periods of joy.” The person he was writing about obviously never had to deal with the overwhelming joy that comes with Dean Johnson’s St. Patrick’s Day buttons. Celebrate your fake, once–a–year Irish heritage with our one–inch circles of merriment. And, unlike a plastic cup of warm, green beer, these are free.
Order your free set of buttons today at deanjohnson.com/profile/buttons.
